Demich Earns Third ECAC South Player of the Week Award

DANBURY, Conn. - Hood College's Drew Demich(Jefferson, Md. / Brunswick) was named the Corvias ECAC Division III South Player of the Week after leading the Blazers to a 2-0 week.

It is the third time this season that Demich has won both the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth and ECAC South awards in the same week this season.

Demich set Hood's career goal scoring record with his 31st career goal during a two-goal performance in a 3-0 win over Juniata. The junior scored another game-winner in a 1-0 double-overtime win at conference foe Albright, finding the back of the net with two seconds left in the second overtime. Demich leads the nation with 18 goals and has five game-winning goals.

 

He has helped the Blazers to a school record 10 wins so far this season. 

 

Hood hosts Stevenson in a MAC Commonwealth match on October 14.
